Instructions for mounting racks to drywall and plaster walls.
If you want to anchor to a stud, I recommend using a 3/32" or smaller bit for the pilot hole.
Step 1: mark where you want the rack to go.
Step 2: pull the mounting bracket away from the rack.
Step 3: position the bracket on the wall and mark one of the screw holes.
Here I'm pushing the supplied screw in to make the mark.
Step 4: using the mark, drill a 1/4" hole for the drywall/plaster anchor.
Step 5: insert the supplied drywall/plaster anchor.
You want to get it flush with the wall, so a few light taps can help.
Step 6: screw in one side of the anchor with supplied screw.
Step 7: this is where a level can help, but I usually eyeball it.
Step 8: mark the second hole. Here I'm pushing on the second screw.
Step 9: drill your second 1/4" hole using the mark you just made.
Step 10: insert your second drywall/plaster anchor.
Step 11: screw in your second screw.
Step 12: erase your pencil marks.
Step 13: snap on your knife rack.
Be careful not to pinch your fingers - the magnets are strong!
